Q & A

Common Questions and Our Answers

What film brand and specific models do you carry?

We carry films from 3M and Suntek. We are an authorized dealer for both. With Suntek, we carry their Carbon, CXP, CIR, and Evolve lineup. With 3M, we carry their Obsidian, Ceramic IR, and Crystalline line up.

What is the difference between all the films?

The difference is in their build materials. There are many types of window films in the market but the three most common ones are dyed, carbon, and ceramic. Dyed films are cheap and offer privacy however they often fade to clear, purple, bubble up, and do not block heat. Carbon films will never fade or bubble and they remain almost the same price as dyed films. The only downside to carbon based films is their lack of heat rejection. Ceramic films, just like carbon, never fade or bubble but their primary strength is heat rejection. Ceramic films keep your car cooler. Their only downside is the price.

Suntek Carbon is a carbon based film. The most inexpensive film we carry. Oriented for those looking for a reliable and color stable film without breaking the bank. Suntek CXP is our most inexpensive ceramic film. CXP utilizes a clear ceramic layer to block out the heat and also has a carbon layer to give the film its shade. These types of films are better known as hybrids. CXP is oriented towards those who want to dive into the ceramic market without breaking the bank. 3M Ceramic IR, is one of the best films in the market today. A full ceramic build, it boasts heat rejection ratings in the low 90s. With a beautiful blue shade, strong adhesive, and a lifetime warranty, 3M Ceramic IR is an excellent contender in our lineup. Oriented for those who want excellent heat rejection. 3M Crystalline is also one of the best films in the world. 3M Crystalline is unique in its build quality due to it having 200 layers of nano ceramic films. 3M Crystalline not only rejects heat but due to its many layers it refracts light in a beautiful way. Windows treated with Crystalline film mimic the look of Mercedes Benz S Class glass. Oriented for those who want the best of the best.

What brand do you use for PPF and vinyl?

We only use 3M Paint Protection Film and 3M Vinyl for our customers. We also carry Avery Dennison vinyl wraps.

How long does a tint, ppf, and vinyl wrap job take?

Our tint installations typically fall between an hour or two. For two front windows it is a thirty minute process but for a whole vehicle and windshield it will take an hour and half or so. Paint protection film installations typically take 1 to 3 days depending on the vehicle and job size. For a front end only installation, the install can be done in a day. For full vehicles it normally takes us about 2 days. Vinyl wrap jobs take about one week for us to finish up.

What film do you use for residential or commercial tinting?

We use Madico window films for our residential and commercial tinting jobs. However we also have dealer accounts with many other big name brands that specialize in residential and commercial film so if you want anything specific, let us know.

What are some miscellaneous work you do?

We do a lot of work not listed on our website or store front. Some of those include RV and Marine work and security film. We carry security film from 3M and can custom order a security film according to your needs. Many people also do not know that there are anti-graffiti films. We can apply these films on top of security films at a store front making the window difficult to penetrate and easy to clean incase it gets vandalized. Call or email us if you have any questions on any work that is not listed on our website.

Do your installations come with any warranty?

Our window films come with a lifetime warranty against any defects like fading and peeling. Our paint protection films come with a ten year warranty from 3M. Our vinyl installations come with a three year warranty against defects and fading. Finally, our 12V work does not come with any official warranty. Warranty offers on any 12V work depend on the type of job. For more information please feel free to call our store.

Is there really a shop dog at your location?

Yes we do have a shop dog named Morris. He is at the shop two to three days out of the month. He is a chunky English bulldog. Cannot bark due to a genetic condition. He is extremely kind to everyone and excellent with kids. We all love Morris here.
